Automated Credit Project

Project Overview

Launched automated agent credit solution to increase money transfer volumes at brick & mortar locations during non-banking hours (weekends and holidays). Steven coordinated with agent app developers, data entry teams, revenue managers, and accounts receivable teams to eliminate manual review of submitted deposit receipts and instantly provide agents with business credit based on agent credit ranking.

Steven’s Contributions

  • Collected business requirements for all existing processes and created a new process flowchart in Figma to gain alignment and support.

  • Coordinated with Agent App front-end and back-end development teams to create image submission and updated agent credit dashboards

  • Sought guidance of VP of Credit & Risk to define allowed deposit types and credit allowances based on internal agent credit ratings (A-F).

  • Held daily UAT calls with Agent App Product Manager and overseas developers to ensure all defined test cases were passing prior to launch.

  • Worked with Marketing team to communicate launch of new process to all agents within North America and the European Union.

Results

  • Increased weekend transaction volumes by 250%, directly impacting $10,000,000 in monthly revenues within the Agent App.

  • Increased Agent App adoption by 450%, driving over $80,000,000 in monthly revenues.

  • Reduced manual review of images by Data Entry team by 75%, significantly lowering labor costs and reducing manual errors.
